Can't pop mail

I installed ispconfig and then I decided I didn't wan't it. So I uninstalled ispconfig and tried to go with virtual setup in "Virtual Users And Domains With Postfix, Courier And MySQL..." and now I'm stuck. I can send mail and the server recievs incoming mail but I can't get them with my mailreader. When I try to telnet localhost and login It say "No such file or directory". What can be wrong or do I have to reinstall the whole server after uninstalling ispconfig.

Have you tried with an email client such as Thunderbird or Outlook?
Any errors in your mail log?
