I can't send or receive an email. I have ISPConfig on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. The dns records are all there and they are correct. I use dovecot for the POP3 server and postfix for the SMTP server. This is the email log: postfix/smtps/smtpd[25144]: SSL_accept error from localhost[127.0.0.1]: Connection timed out postfix/smtps/smtpd[25144]: lost connection after CONNECT from localhost[127.0.0.1] sentora postfix/smtps/smtpd[25144]: disconnect from localhost[127.0.0.1] commands=0/0
There is Tutorial: https://www.howtoforge.com/how-to-install-an-email-server-with-ispconfig-on-debian-10/ Similar methods should work for also for Ubuntu. There is also this: https://www.howtoforge.com/community/threads/please-read-before-posting.58408/
Nothing, it still doesn't work. It doesn't even send emails locally. This is the log: Jul 2 17:34:38 sentora postfix/smtps/smtpd[28425]: SSL_accept error from localhost[127.0.0.1]: Connection timed out Jul 2 17:34:38 sentora postfix/smtps/smtpd[28425]: lost connection after CONNECT from localhost[127.0.0.1] Jul 2 17:34:38 sentora postfix/smtps/smtpd[28425]: disconnect from localhost[127.0.0.1] commands=0/0 Attached Files:
Run the test script as root user, @Taleman posted the link already: https://www.howtoforge.com/community/threads/please-read-before-posting.58408/ and post the result.

You have commented out the submission line Code: #submission inet n - y - - smtpd Compare what you have in that file to the ISPConfig Perfect Server Guide. And while at it, check all other setting also.
And you missed removing the # in front of the smtps line as well. Removing the # in front of the submission and smtps line is described in the perfect server guide. The perfect server guides are the official installation manuals for ISPConfig, you can find a list of them for all supported operating systems here: https://www.ispconfig.org/documentation/ For Ubuntu 18.04, it is this guide: https://www.howtoforge.com/tutorial...l-pureftpd-bind-postfix-doveot-and-ispconfig/
I did all that explained in the guide, but now it doesn't let me access ISPConfig via the web. Do I have to recreate the database ?? And where do I put it?
Start with this: https://www.howtoforge.com/community/threads/please-read-before-posting.58408/ Then command Code: systemctl --state=failed
In what way does it fail, exactly? Does Code: systemctl --state=failed now show all services are running? Is the htf_report now OK?

Why did you not reveal that first thing? Do what error message says, and check mysql config. You may have error messages in logs to help figure out what is wrong. If not, just check what you configured to the Perfect Server Guide.
