I'm using Nero Ver 6.6.1.4 to create a bootable CD and a ISO file to load on a Windows XP machine. I've never used CentO. During the boot process of the computer from the CD drive the computer points to the A drive using DR-DOS. The computer stops at this point and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. The HDD is in one partition, with Windows XP Professional loaded. I've been told this program will formate the drive and install CentO. Could someone point me in the right direction? rmyoung49098
it isnt so hard, just download the iso from centos.org (choose closest mirror) and burn the iso boot from the cdrom (you should check at the bios boot order) and then follow the gui installer If you want to create the necessary partitions before the installation you could try the UNetbootin Partition Manager. dont forget you want at least 2 partitions for the centos, one for the root (/) and one for the swap partition
