    Hi everybody,

I'm a total noob when it comes to linux. All I'm trying to do is set up OpenVPN on a VPS. I've been pointed towards this tutorial http://www.howtoforge.com/openvpn-server-on-centos-5.2 but I'm speciooool.

I've come to the point in the tutorial where it says:

    vi ../vars
(At the bottom of the files change the values to match the site.)

When I enter the command I now get a warning message saying the file exists and whether I want to proceed (didn't happen first time). What I assume this does is open some sort of file but there are no values, I don't know what should match what (since it's empty) and I don't know how to save anything or get back into the "normal" console i.e. leave the editing mode.

I've had a look around google and youtube and I can't find any information on it. Can anybody point me in the right direction? I don't really know where to start. I know I'm trying to run when I can't even walk but "I've just got this one race to do". I'd appreciate any kind of help.

    Cheers
