Centos 7 is a great Linux distribution. It is very stable and allows the small business to utilize high end features at a low cost. A good HowTo that describes integrating a samba server with an LDAP backend is needed. Using the stock installs and modifying the configs to bring up a working system can be daunting. This HowTo would go along way to assisting the average IT worker in using free, as in freedom and free pizza, software in a business environment. Each of these technologies, Centos 7, Samba, and 389ds are proven in their own right, but when they are combined they form a trio that allows a single signon system to be created for all servers in an environment. That is what the growing small business needs.
