I followed your CentOS setup fore the 64bit 4.3 install. I am trying to allow .htaccess files and I have made changes to httpd.conf to try to get it to work (changing AllowOverride None to AllowOverride All) but it is not working (and yes I did restart apache). Is there somewhere else I need to make changes? What are the steps to allowing .htaccess files?

CentOS + Joomla + .htaccess Hi, i have a problem with .htaccess when i try to use 404SEFx and OPEN SEF. Is your Joomla installation in the vhost's document root or in a subdirectory? If it's in a subdirectory, you might have to use a RewriteBase line in your .htaccess file.
