I have had a self sign certificate for a while and didn't like all the browser errors.
I decided to install a trial version of comodo as described here http://www.howtoforge.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24168
    and then rebooted apache.
    Now apache will not start

    mybox1:~# /etc/init.d/apache2 restart
Forcing reload of web server (apache2)...httpd (pid 8721?) not running
    failed!

This is what is in my apache error log

When I remove the certificate from the control panel of ispconfig (uncheck the SSL box and save) then restart apache all is ok again

Are there any errors in the error log of the web site where you use the SSL cert?
