    Hi,

i recovered from a backup (userdata, /etc , /var/vmail, all databases) and want/had to change the hostname of the system. is this possible without any problems?
are there any changes to be made in the databases?

Yes. Change the hostname in /etc/hostname and /etc/hosts and /etc/mailname (if the file exists) and in /etc/postfix/main.cf)

    No.
