Hi i wanted to change the ownership (and management funcionality) of a domain to another client/user. So i changed the domain in: sites email dns client -> domains the first three went well, that last one i can change the ownership and press okay, but it stays on the old owner, without any error or ohter notification. was this the wrong procedure or is this a bug? thanks KoS
i do not understand what you mean? i have a client A with 4 domains and i would like to move 1 of that domains to a new client.
Normally it should work if you change the clients name in Sites. I don't have Domains under Clients in My ISPConfig 3.0.53! I do have Domains in E-Mail! So to change the Ownership of an domain, requires to first, I the Owner of that domain isn't you, instead the "Old Owner", that you push that domain via the Registra to the new owner. If the domain is running on YOUR name, but you gave in ISPConfig a different name/client as Owner, you could just change the name in the client tab! For sure, the "new" owner must be set as client already upfront!
I use the "Use the domain limits in client module to add new domains" function (System -> Main Config -> Domains). That is why the Domains appear under "Clients". i suppose you don't use this feature and that's why it is different for you. As i already stated in my first post, i HAVE changed the ownerships under sites, e-mail and dns. that worked as expected. but i cannot change the ownership in the "domains" list.
You're right, I didn't use that function. Firstly because I really didn't work with clients (at the moment) and secdly, even if I would, I would the client chose themselfs what domain they want to use, would only limit the number of domains each clients could add. Don't like to responsible for that! Sorry, therefore I couldn't help.
the issue/problem is also in the bugtracker at http://bugtracker.ispconfig.org/index.php?do=details&task_id=3140
This bug is marked as implemented/closed. However, I still have this problem in ISPConfig 3.0.5.4p5! The Client combobox doesn't work - when I click on it nothing happens - so it is impossible to change the client (other than by manually editing the database).
Right. As the bugreport says, this feature has been implemented for the upcoming version 3.1 but you use the older version 3.0.5.4p5.
