change the base domain

    Is it possible to change the base domain of my IpsConfig3 installation? I searched but I wasn't sure what I was looking for.

    If it is, does anyone have a post or write up on how to achieve this?

    Ther is no base domain in ispconfig. Maybe you mean the hostname of your server?

    is that all there is to it? change the host name of the computer?

    If you want to change the hostname, then alter it in these files:

    /etc/hostname
    /etc/mailname
    /etc/hosts
    /etc/postfix/main.cf

    and restart the server.
