ISP config is not handling DNS, that is handled by another server We have a client who has been developing a wordpress site. He is done and would like to launch the site with ---.com insead of dev2.---.com I have removed the DNS entries for dev2 and changed the domain name in ISP config. Now when navigating to ---.com it still redirects to dev2.---.com and displays the webpage. What am I doing wrong?
Change of website name should be enough. Check https://www.howtoforge.com/community/threads/please-read-before-posting.58408/ to see why it fails. Is the admin account now fixed?
The problem is probably Wordpress here, WordPress stores the domain name that you install it on in it's database and will continue to redirect you to the old domain name. To fix that, login to WordPress admin and change the domain name inside WordPress (that's in general settings or similar).
