Helllo, I'm new on this forum and also in using ISP Config 3... The version i'm using is 3.0.5.4p8 and i'm afraid to have made a mistake by changing the default login "admin" by another word. Now, when i'm logging using my new login, i don't have acces any more to users configuration. Is there a way to solve this ? thanks a lot for any help. Christophe As i'm a newbie, is there a place on this forum where i can introduce myself ?
you could alter the username "non-admin" to "admin" directly in the db. The username is not hashed so direct edit should work - never tried though.

Changing the name of the admin user in ISPConfig is ok under System > CP Users. But maybe you accidently changed the type to user or another setting of the user so he lost admin privileges. To check the user in the database, you have to login as MySQL root user in phpmyadmin.

well, i can connect to phpmyadmin as root, in the table "sys_user", "sys_perm_user" and "sys_perm_group" are set to "riud", just like a user do you know the term to use to set rights to admin ? Thanks in advance
well, i do the changes in the db, the good news is that my isp is still alive and i can connect using default login "admin" the bad one is that nothing change... may be i'm only missing a tab on the home page ? i have only Home / Client / Help / Email / Monitor / Sites / Tools / Vserver and compare to isp config demo, "System" is missing In "Sys_user" table, "modules section" i have only : dashboard,help,tools,monitor,sites,vm,mail,client May i add this module in db ?
Yes, the "admin" module is missing there. So your original problem was probably caused by that missing module and not the change of the name.
When i add the module "admin" in the db, it's working fine, i get back the missing tab. Now i know how to solve this issue, i try again to change default login name "admin" and when i do that change, in module section admin come unchecked... then if i save, i lost it !
