    Hi there,
is there any possibility to keep all data on a mirror-server of the master DNS server (server is mirror of...), but keep all data (zones and RRs) to provide uninterrupted service? I'd like to change my DNS servers for new machines in my setup.
    All the best, Tim

The actual DNS zones and files in /etc/bind directory, so as long as you don't remove them or stop bind, the DNS service will be working.

    Hi Till,
thanks for your answer. I'm aware, that if the files are not removed, the BIND is running and serving data. But: I'd like to rename the DNS-Hosts within ISPConfig AND in DNS. Is there any recommended way to do so?
    All the best, Tim
