Hi all, I want to change default port of httpd from 80 to like 8989, and I changed it in my httpd conf and on my ISPConfig pannel on the IP tab but when I do it, the webserver come down any Ideas? I have fedora15 server thanks
Like I told I began to change the IP config on ISPConfig then remove 80 to replace to 8989 and the I change the /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf line that says Listen 80 to Listen 8989 then It take 30 second and the web server come down. the webserver is working fine according t the log. so amybe you dont have a problem with your ip configuration which made the server unavailable and not your webserver or you tried to reach the server on the old port.
Yeah the server is up when it does that but on the monitor page of ISPConfig when I change my port, the webserver comes down thats what ISPCofig tell me but I'M still able to connect via ssh and ftp
Any other Ideas? I changed my VHost port to 8989 too Logs : [Sun Feb 02 03:48:05 2014] [notice] Digest: generating secret for digest authent ication ... The monitor checks the server on port 80. So you should not remove port 80, instead add a additional listen directive for port 8989.
I Also added that : <tmpl_loop name="vhosts"> <tmpl_if name='port' op='==' value='80'><VirtualHost {tmpl_var name='ip_address'}:8989></tmpl_else> in my /usr/local/ispconfig/server/conf/vhost.conf.master Is that ok? if yes, in my vhost for my website, the VirtualHost is put to 8989, do I nee to change it for 80? All of that beacause my ISP is blocking port 80 so I need to bypass it.
ok now my webserver is running but all my action I do in ISP config go in a queue and don'T want to take effect 06-02-2014 08:54 server.nuwavehost.ca Update server 06-02-2014 08:54 server.nuwavehost.ca Update server 06-02-2014 08:52 server.nuwavehost.ca Update web_domain 06-02-2014 08:50 server.nuwavehost.ca Update web_domain 06-02-2014 06:44 server.nuwavehost.ca Update dns_soa 06-02-2014 06:43 server.nuwavehost.ca Update dns_rr 06-02-2014 06:43 server.nuwavehost.ca Update dns_soa 06-02-2014 06:43 server.nuwavehost.ca Update dns_rr 06-02-2014 06:43 server.nuwavehost.ca Update dns_soa 06-02-2014 06:43 server.nuwavehost.ca Update dns_rr 06-02-2014 06:43 server.nuwavehost.ca Update dns_soa 06-02-2014 06:42 server.nuwavehost.ca Insert dns_rr 06-02-2014 06:42 server.nuwavehost.ca Insert dns_rr 06-02-2014 06:42 server.nuwavehost.ca Insert dns_rr 06-02-2014 06:42 server.nuwavehost.ca Insert dns_rr 06-02-2014 06:42 server.nuwavehost.ca Insert dns_rr 06-02-2014 06:42 server.nuwavehost.ca Insert dns_rr 06-02-2014 06:42 server.nuwavehost.ca Insert dns_soa 05-02-2014 21:44 server.nuwavehost.ca Update server_ip 05-02-2014 21:31 server.nuwavehost.ca Insert firewall 05-02-2014 21:30 server.nuwavehost.ca Update server 05-02-2014 21:30 server.nuwavehost.ca Update server 05-02-2014 21:30 server.nuwavehost.ca Update server 05-02-2014 21:30 server.nuwavehost.ca Update server 05-02-2014 21:13 server.nuwavehost.ca Insert mail_user 05-02-2014 21:12 server.nuwavehost.ca Insert mail_domain 05-02-2014 20:27 server.nuwavehost.ca Insert ftp_user 05-02-2014 20:25 server.nuwavehost.ca Update web_domain 05-02-2014 20:25 server.nuwavehost.ca Insert web_domain

Seems as if you did not install a offical ispconfig release as this issue is clearly from dev code from our git server. dev code from the git server is untested and meant for developers only, it shall not be installed on production servers as it is likely that it wont work, like you see on your server. Uninstall ispconfig and then download the offcial 3.0.5.3 relaese from ispconfig.org and install that one.
downlaod the ispconfig 3.0.5.3 tar.gz, unpac it and run the uninstall script which you can find in the install folder.
I did it but it gave me that when trying to access afeter reinstallation : http://imageshack.com/a/img593/6947/5zp1.jpg
unsianstall ispconfig again, then check with phpmyadmin that the dbispconfig database and the ispconfig mysql user had been removed correctly. If they are still there, remove them nmanually and then install ispconfig again.
