    Hi There

Is there any reason why when I change a mailbox password all emails are deleted for that mailbox?
Is there anywhere to recover the deleted mailbox?

    Thanks!

Changing a password does not delete emails, so there must be another issue when you lost emails. The most likely reason for such an issue is that you changed settings under System > server config > Mail so that the settings there are not compatible with the software that is installed on your system, the password change then triggered an update event on the mailbox which activated the new (wrong) system wide settings for the mailbox. Check that the settings in the place I mentioned are correct, especially that you have selected the right imap server type there that matches the software that your server uses. another possibility where I have seen such a behaviour is that a server was migrated to a new system inproperly.

The mailbox has probably been moved to /var/vmail/corrupted/

    Hello Till

I have not changed any of the default settings from the 'perfect server setup' it has happened 2/2 times that when changing the password the vmail folder is defaulted. Attached is my screenshot of the settings:
