Choosing OS!!!

    hi all,

    I have been using ubuntu server 8.04 TLS (NO COMPLAINTS AT ALL) but i need to increase my hard drive Gb. So i want to put 4 x 1TB hard drives using SOFTWARE RAID 10, but with ubuntu you need to do this manually.

    So i was searching for a answer and i found that centos 5.2 it is possible to do during the installation, but another question raised from there: Does centos works well with ispconfig?

    i was reading on these forums and found out that some of the centos packages updates mess up with the configuration of ispconfig.

    So, someone out there could help me out with some real world experience.

    Centos works well with ISPConfig, only when you update bind you will have to fix the permissions of the bind directorys after the update. But I still would recommend to use debian or ubuntu.

    Thanks very much for your answer, but do you know any how to for raid 10 configuration in ubuntu server 8.04LTS, all the how to is using the desktop edition, so i dont want to try and end up with a dead system.

    SO if you would recommend any articles or how to, would be great!!

    Did you had a look at the ubuntu wiki? As far as I know there are several tutorials about installing ubuntu on a raid setup:
