I am pretty sure, that the next ispconfig release will contain this new version.

More interesting is if and how the new features "PUA Detection" and "Anti-Phishing Technology" and the configuration of those two features, as some users might have other wishes how to configure them as others.

    clamav info

I am getting an error message in mail.log

However when I look in synaptic packet manager. clamav is not installed.
When I type locate clamav into a trminal it does not find anything.

Is clamav installed with ubuntu or ispconfig?
    How do I install clamav?
    How do I update clamav?

    Thanks in advance

This is nothing to worry about.
I just installed ISPConfig 2.2.26 beta on a test server.
I've seen that this version makes use of ClamAV 0.94, so also ISPConfig 2.2.26 will.

    manual update clamav

    Thanks for your response Hans.
However the real question is will you be updating ispconfig every time clamav is out of date in the future?

Is there a manual way to update clamav?
    And
Is it possible for you to build in a update method in ispconfig?

I am not responsible for the release of ISPConfig. Till and Falko are.

I am not sure how to update ClamAV to the latest stable release 0.94.
If i remember correctly, there is a thread somewhere out here, which explains how to to it.

Maybe it's better to wait a few days. I guess ISPConfig 2.2.26 whith ClamAV 0.94 will be released soon.

Anywhere here are some "sample" packages how to recompile a newer clamav-version your own without completely updating all ispconfig binaries.

Download it, extract it, change the shellfile to the correct clamav version and place the new claamv version in the same folder.

But remember to take a look at possible config changes especially when updating to a new release (and not a subrelease) as there are most likely new features implemented, needing extra configlines, as 0.94 does compared with 0.93.x

    Edit: http://www.howtoforge.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22350&highlight=clamav+update
that's the thread i was referring to. download the packages and change things needed to upgrade to the newerst clamav version.
