Hello. My request is about clamav. How about change from clamscan to clamdscan in clamassassin, becouse clamscan take all CPU power then load virus DB each time then the check email message.

    Falko i'am already using clamdscan
    -
Clamscan use for every user a single process
One process used 6% of CPU (Celeron 2800Mhz)
I have more dan 300 Email accounts on my server, if example 15 users received a email then clamav startup 15 process * 6% CPU = 95% total CPU
I'am not the only one, so my opinion is use clamd in the next update.

    Hi Folks,

First, many thanks to the developers of ISPConfig...a really great package.

I too would like to see clamd and clamdscan supported by ISPConfig and I think it is important. I would also like to see the SaneSecurity stuff supported as well.

Yes, I already have clamd/clamdscan and SaneSecurity signatures implemented. They seem to work great and I've not had any obvious problems. I use a Centos 5 base OS and I have notes that I will post to my web site one of these days or will make available upon request.

However, the installation/configuration seems to break with an ISPConfig update which makes it all of dubious value to me. Could we, at a minimum, support it/them enough to survive the next update of ISPConfig?

    Thanks for listening,

    G
