I don't have a mail server on my server so do I need ClamAv? Does it do anything else or is it just for scanning emails?
Clamav main purpose is to scann mail for viruses. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clam_AntiVirus You can turn it off if you dont use it. /etc/init.d/clamav-daemon stop use update-rc.d if you use Ubuntu to stop services starting at boot or chkconfig if u use Centos.
