Hi, I have a problem with the Client-Templates thing. It have no effect after I set a limit and create a client. This is what I did: Client >> Edit Client-Templates >> Additional Template >> Enter template name >> Limits >> Max. number of DNS zones = 2 After that I create client as usual but when I check the client limit I saw Max. number of DNS zones = -1 Why is this Any help is appreciated. You missed to apply the template to the client by selecting the template in the client settings and then press the save button.
I add new client and Addon template has the template name in the drop down list. This mean I don't need to select the template anymore. I can just click Save. Even if I select it again from the list and save it, it has no difference. client Max. number of DNS zones is still -1. Searching the forum found a same error http://www.howtoforge.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30365 - Addon templates seems to have no effect on the limits. oh well maybe it just me... It doesn't works. UPDATE Master template works for me. I create additional Master template and select it from the list during adding client. Client Max. number of DNS zones is changes. I'm not sure what to do with Additional template. Thanks Till
The additional template is added to the values of the master template automatically when you click save. So you need to select a amster template first and then you can optionally add one or more additional templates.
oh I understand now. I was hoping I could add a client without selecting Master template and just using Additional template since Additional template default name is already in the drop down list. I mean I don't need to do anything. Just add name, username, pass and click Save. Thanks again
