Hello, I cannot send mail to the mail accounts of a new domain I generated. This is what I think caused the problem: I generated one domain with 3 subdomains one day and made admin and info mail accounts. (lets say the webspace is called web_1) A day later my client told me it hat to be 2 different webspaces with different content, so I deleted one of the subdomains (in fact, 2 subdomains: the www.domain.tld and domain.tld) Then I flushed the recycle bin and re-generated the domain as a new webspace and also generated the mail acounts (lets call this webspace web_2) Now my client told me that he can't use the mail accounts of the newly generated webspace (web_2). I looked thru the server a bit and found the following: 1. in ispconfig, the domain.tld co-domain has NOT been generated and CANNOT be generated (I get the error 'you have already generated ...' ) 2. in /etc/postfix/virtusertables I find that the info and admin mail accounts, that should be connected to web_2, still are connected to web_1. What can I do about it? The server is a Suse 10.1/64Bit with Ispconfig 2.2.16 regards, Tom
Did you check the first web site if domain.tld is still connected to that web? What's in /etc/postfix/virtusertable?
Hello, thanks a lot Falko for your reply. In the meantime I have solved the problem myself, but I had no time since to write it down here; sorry for that. The problem was that the domain in question was still in the customers recycle bin. The Administrator cannot see that when he's logged in. Is this a bug or a feature? Anyway, I didn't know of this behaviour and I spent three frustrating hours to find out. May I utter a feature request here to at least let the administrator know if there's something in the users' recycle bins, please! Another small question: I saw that there is a 'thanks' statistic in a post now below the number of total posts of a user. What exactly does it mean? I ask because my number of thanks is 0 and usually I try to be very friendly in my posts and to thank everyone.... so thank you very much , regards, Tom
