Hello there, I am forced to use Fedora instead of Debian, since DELL provides no suitable drivers for Debian (What a pity :-( ) So I learned that Fedora initially "came" from RedHat Linux, and is now something like the "open source" tribe of RedHat. So I was wondering: Regarding Drivers, are the two OS compatible against each other or am I about to experience some nasty problems when trying to install drivers on Fedora 14 that were actually developed for RedHat Enterprise Linux? In the end, these are two different systems at all. I would appreciate your opinions. Regards Zero
From my experience, packages for RedHat often work on Fedora, but because Fedora is much newer, there is no guarantee. You will have to try.
Thank you for your quick reply. I'm working through your PS tutorial for Fedora, but I don't get through the dovecot part. It says that I need to resolve dependencies (in particular a lib file from Postgre). Is there a way to auto resolve dependencies?
