    Hey,

I was compiling a kernel using this guide, and after I finished... I noticed my linux-ubuntu-modules (aka lum or l-u-m) and linux-restricted-modules (aka lrm or l-r-m) weren't loading anymore.

I did some further reading, and it looks like some additional steps need to occur if you plan on using these.

Does someone already know the steps for adapting this howto for compiling lum and lrm? I'm going to try and figure it out, but I thought I'd ask before spending loads of time on it. I'm thinking that some of these steps need to change a little bit to make installing lrm and lum easier.

For reference, this is what I found:

    https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMaintenance
