    hey guys,

I have a certain problem with the current Debian version of PHP5 and I guess its time to compile my own version...

btw. I use Debian stable and the current version of ispconfig but I never attempted to compile PHP myself, have always been using the default version.

can someone point me to a nice tutorial, or jsut give me some hints on what to look out for when doing so?

thx for the link :) that was exactly what I needed, though it did not work out as I planned...
I tried to get the newest backport from dotdeb, but it seems they have nothing newer than would be already included i ndebian stable anyway...

looking for another backport site right now...
