ISPConfig is not hardwrae specifica at all. As long as a supported liux distribution (see the list on ispconfig.org) is booting and your server has a network card. ISPConfig works even without a network card but this is a bit useless

Should run fine for a small system, however I suggest you upgrade the RAM a bit. I had my setup running on a P3 500Mhz with 512 RAM, and my bottleneck was the CPU speed.
Do OK falko, Eldaria, but at home, ISPConfig, turn on a AMD Atlon 1700 with 256 Mo RAM of memory, then I turn over the question, falko, you does not sell of the servers with less than 30 € , or you know another hosting which makes the same price with more RAM.... ISPConfig works with 256 MB too, i had a server until a year ago with this configuration. But it is better to have more ram because it will boost the performance of your webserver and database server when delivering pages.
Joomla Do OK till, I agree to you, but, if you know joomla, it is good, I agree, that with 512 Mo RAM of memory, or to see 1 Go, that would be the good bargain, but that will cost me money, know a provider, which rents of the servers at a low price.... kind 30 € per month..... MM
