    Hi

When I upload Mambo or osCommerce the configuration.php file is not being built. Please can you tell me how to fix this please. I guess its a permission's problem but not sure where to look.

    Thanks

    Regards

I've moved your previous thread about this topic to the Linux Forums > Installation/Configuration forum, but now you've re-created the same thread here. Do you think this is ISPConfig-related?

yes, this is using ISPConfig. looking at other posts it might be a PHP Safe Mode issue.

Further it appears it could be php4-session not being installed, how can I check this please?

The problem is, the script doesn't have permission to create the config file. This always happens on my Mambo installs. You will need to copy the config staement the installer spits out at the end of the install, create the php file on your local computer, then paste the config state, ent to that php file. Then upload it to the root or includes dir. Where ever the script instructs you to upload the file to.

Edit: No this is not an ISPConfig issue. As an admin, you have the option to enable and disabling root directory writing. It's safer that you don't.
