I have an unmodified setup of the Perfect Server with ISPConfig3 on a Debian Lenny production machine. My old production server used many of the same services, but was not running ISPConfig3. This server rejected attachments that contained EXE files and some others. Does the Perfect Server with ISPConfig3 do this out of the box? Or do I need to enter some rules into the Global Content Filter section? Is anyone willing to share scenarios and rules they created for the Global Content Filter that I should consider? Thanks.
You can reject files with amavisd-new or with a content filter. Please take a look at this article which explains both solutions: http://isc.sans.org/diary.html?storyid=2136
