I have made a WHMCS installation under ISPConfig. One of the security recommendations is to create a storage folder above the webroot: https://docs.whmcs.com/Further_Security_Steps#Secure_the_Writeable_Directories https://help.whmcs.com/m/getting_started/l/1075203-further-security-steps https://www.webhostinghero.com/securing-whmcs-writable-directories/ I tried to create a folder above my /client/web structure and give it the same owner and permissions as my web folder but WHMCS says it's not writable. Any idea how i can do this?
Thanks that worked! The only remaining recommendation WHMCS is producing is this one: Your PHP version 7.2.24-0ubuntu0.18.04.6 is supported by WHMCS. The PHP 7.2 branch no longer receives regular bug fixes and will only receive critical security updates until it reaches its end of life. Please see our documentation for more information. Is it possible to upgrade to a higher PHP version or is this a hassle?
