Creating Images Of Your Linux System... Issues

    Hi:

    I have an Ubuntu Breezy Badger/ISPConfig server running fine, some days ago i need to reinstall it due a electrical failure, since this happend i was looking for a method to avoid the reinstall process and found this How To by Falko : http://www.howtoforge.com/howto_linux_systemimager ...in server all goes nice im my IPSConfig server (client in this case) i got the following message after run apt-get update ...

    When i ran
    Code:
    si_prepareclient --server my_server_IP
    after an alert about SSH security i got this message

    Can u help me to fix this problems pls....
    Are there another way to get an image from my server for restoration purposes...

    ?

    That's strange... The Debian package always uses /var/lib/systemimager...

    But as i told you i cant found it on /var/lib....

    Anyway Thanks a lot Falko....ill move my ISP server to Debian Sarge...ill try whit the same tutorial...

    Hello again...

    Playing whit a Debian Sarge box i found that if i install the server package all goes fine in the preparation of Golden Client...i ran:

    and after

    And the prepareclient process goes to end whitout errors...Why???? i dont know but ill try to get an image tomorrow...

    Just one more question...

    I put the server to retrieve the image about 4 hours ago...and dindt finish yet..can u tell me if this is correct or i did something wrong

    It doesn't take that long normally, maybe half an hour. Maybe a network problem or a slow connection?

    I think is a slow connection problem... can i add a NIC to put the server into my local network to do the images?...currently im using my Internet connection ( 512 mbps) .

    Is the server from which you're making an image in your local network?

    Yes Falko..

    Actually no, but it is in my office, now im tinking on put another NIC to make the server join my local network...this nigth ill test it. any tip for do that???
