I've updated language but I have serious issues with editing language files.

    Situation:
    - translated many strings for hours
    - exported the language file (I'm using ispc 3.0.4.2)
    - imported it to check if everyhing is OK
    - continued to translate
    - exported the language file
    - realized that nothing is translated except the second part!?

I've tried it few times and something is broken :/

Every time when I try to merge croatian with english it joins few files. Even after that I export croatian and after import it's still incomplete?! :(

What do you mean woith second part?

In which way is it incomplete? Are there still english strings inside the exported file that you replaced and saved before?

    Second part means this:
    - first I've merged hr & eng languages and started with translation
    - then I decided to take a break, and I exported hr language file
    - after break I've imported previously exported hr language file
    - did a merge just to check if everything is OK, but it wasn't becouse it merged again same strings from the first merge, and it's even saying that version is old (3.0.4) but in exported hr language file version is 3.0.4.2
    - then I decided to translate/check everything and export
    - opened hr.lng with txt editor to check strings, it was OK
    - imported it to ispconfig successfully but the ISPConfig was still in english and merge retured AGAIN same strings as before

    hope it's clear now :)

Are you sure that you selected to overwite existing files on omport? I tested this here on my server and import overwrites files correctly.

Yes I've tried that few times, that's how I lost some parts of translation :)
Anyway, I'd like to check user/group and permissions for ispconfig, they should be root:root I guess?

everything in /usr/local/ispconfig/interface should be owned by user and group "ispconfig" and the language files and language file directories additionally have permissions 770

Everything is OK with owner/group/permissions :/

Let me ask you one more thing, if I export language file and edit it with notepad++ for example that should not be a problem?

I'm having difficulties translating in ISPC because input forms are just too small and when you delete English text I have to c/p my translation, then undo to see English and to see if it's "OK" then I c/p back Croatian, so I'd like to use notepad++ for translating. Also it's faster because of multi rename.

Editing a language file in external editor can break it as the editor can not check the syntax and escape chars if nescessary. For that reason we developed the ispconfig language editor which ensures that a correct syntax is used and that chars are escaped correctly.

I will see if we can show the original text of a field beside the editable text.

    Updated Croatian language

ps. I think the problem was with using text editor and multi find/replace since it's ok now

    Fixed all DNS/Designer entries:
    http://www.weboteka.net/ispconfig/hr.lng

27.02. Fixed all Sites entries, afaik only mail/vm is untranslated since I don't use mail/vm on my servers but I'll do it also asap.

Anyway, we should be able to translate Rescue tab on System -> Server configuration page, and Warning/Error/Debug options for log level.
Also "DNS Resync" and "Resync DNS Records" is not in language file.

Found one more string that I'm unable to translate:
DNS - > Import Zone file -> Under Domain ...
"Can be left empty if domain name is in the filename or the zone-file content."

    Also updated Croatian language. Download:

This means you don't have to specify a domain name if the filename of the file to be imported contains the domain name or if it is listed in the zone file (in the SOA part, I think).

:) hehe, I understand the meaning of it.
I just wanted to say that I can't find that sentence in translation file so I guess that translation string is missing for that.
