Hello, I cannot get a clean install of CSF. Prior to the install I disabled UFW Firewall (
apt remove ufw). All of my install attempts yield the same error:

    Apr 08 23:05:02 servername.server.com systemd[1]: Starting csf.service - ConfigServer Firewall & Security - csf...
Apr 08 23:05:02 servername.server.com csf[610]: csf and lfd have been disabled, use 'csf -e' to enable
    Apr 08 23:05:02 servername.server.com systemd[1]: csf.service: Main process exited, code=exited, status=1/FAILURE
    Apr 08 23:05:02 servername.server.com systemd[1]: csf.service: Failed with result 'exit-code'.
    Apr 08 23:05:02 servername.server.com systemd[1]: Failed to start csf.service - ConfigServer Firewall & Security - csf.

    Thanks for any help!
    Tom

I do not know what CSF is or what it does, but the log entries state:
    Code:
csf and lfd have been disabled, use 'csf -e' to enable
    Have you tried that?

Hi Taleman! CSF is security software ConfigServer Firewall. A Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) firewall, Login/Intrusion Detection and Security application for Linux servers.
And yes I tried enabling csf (csf -e) but that did not successfully resolve the above issue.

Check the logfile of the software to get further information. The file should be located at "/var/log/lfd.log".

If this is a fresh install you might need to disable testing mode.

On a side note: This is not the correct forum as csf is not part of ISPConfig at all.
