Hi guys, is possible configure the hosting services using the domain name? For instance: I register a new site for a customer with this domain name: http://www.mysite.com and I would like to offer to him these services links: MySql: - http://mysql.mysite.com -> PHPMYADMIN POP3 - http://pop3.mysite.com FTP - http://ftp.mysite.com and so on ... Thanks
Well...a simple solution is to use http forward from your registrar.... so u forward mysql.mysite.com to http://mysite.com/phpmyadmin pop3.mysite.com to mysite.com ftp.mysite.com to mysite.com or... if u have one IP just make AA recods or use the DNS manager from ispconfig
Exist another solution ? Many users wants a customized url and I don't understand how to make this change asap. At the moment I do not use my DNS for security reasons. thanks
If you want to use URL's s you described above you will have to create the corresponding dns records for them and point them to your server. It will not work without that.
