Dansguardian Content Filtering With Transparent Proxy On Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic

Hello all,


I have followed the guide below and now i am unable to browse to any site. I followed the guide verbatim and even did the command suggested by a user in the comments section.

Here is the suggested command by a user:
update-rc.d command syntax correction:
sudo update-rc.d tproxy defaults

So after initiating this command im now receiving page cannot be displayed error. I have tried rebooting and restarting network and squid but no use. Im trying to get this going for my kids laptop.

I still new not familiar with all the commands of ubuntu so im not sure what logs to share with you to help resolve this issue.

Unfortunately I'm no Dansguardian expert...

 

No prob.


Looks like karmic and dansguardian dont play well right now. There is a bug from what im seeing on the interwebs. I went with 8.04 Hardy Heron and got it going for my kid.
