dd Software raid

    Simple question:

    Can I:

    Assuming /backup is not part of the software raid.

    and than...

    Code:
    dd if=/backup/image.img of=/dev/hdd1
    Assuming /dev/hdd1 is not part of the software raid.

    ???

    I *think* that should work. But I'd try it on a test system first.
