Can someone please point me to an install guide for Debian 11. I have only found Debian 10 which does not work. The installer script does not work for my port of Debian
Currently you should use ISPConfig Auto Installer to install Debian 11 Perfect Server. What script were you using?
If the port of Debian 11 is not actually called 'Debian 11' I assumed will the initial script OS check will fail even though the underlying installation commands may work? Also any subsequent differences found (like missing packages) would also cause the installation to fail though fairly easily worked around manually. Was I mistaken? This is why I've been holding out for a manual installation tutorial.
ISPConfig autoinstaller does work on Debian 11 (and Debian 10 and Ubuntu 20.04). Some users have succesfully manually installed ISPConfig on Debian 11 following the Perfect Server Guide for Debian 10 and winging it when differences arise.
Yes I did my first Debian 11 installation using the Debian 10 tutorial with mods which I detailed in an old thread. This was just a test machine and there was discussion on whether my changes were optimal or not. I have also used the auto-installer to get a perfect installation on an amd64/Debian 11 VM. It's the issue of the auto-installer working with non-officially supported derivatives of Debian 11 I was querying. When it comes to production servers I like to know that the ISPConfig installation is as close to the recommended way for many reasons.
