what can we do to harden up the anti-spam stuff? I thought rspamd was much better than spamassassin.
is there anything more I can do to cut down on the crap? any hidden settings to make it more secure?
    thanks till!

You can not run amavisd and Rspamd at the same time. You either run amavisd (old systems) or Rspamd (recent systems). And yes, Rspamd is way better than Amavis; that's why Amavis is not used anymore on recent servers. In spam filter policy settings, you can adjust the spam filter levels if you want lower-scoring emails to be filtered out.

sorry typo I meant clamav and rspamd. I'm wondering if the default setup can be hardened against spam.
were we not consulting blackhole lists? I'm looking in the /etc/rspamd/local.d and I notice there is no rbl.conf to invoke the rbl module. is this intentional? and if not would it help? inquiring minds and all that!

I see Abusix seems to be a good choice! they seem to have good instructions to incorporate within rspamd making the rbl.conf module.
you have any experience with it? is it good? Even better is it Till Approved? (copyright)

The RBL Module is enabled by default and does not require a config in local.d. It is defined in modules.d with rspamd upstream default RBLs and scores.

The fight against spam is a very individual thing for each company. You have to get familiar with rspamd, check logs and spam messages and fine tune the rules and modules rspamd gives you to get better results. There is no shortcut, and no "one solution for all" in the fight against spam.

rspamd is running, but I'm curious since it was setup by the auto-installer for debian - is the web interface active? if so how can I check to see how effective rspamd is being??

The port of the webinterface is 11334 by default.
Configuring rspamd in webinterface is not the recommended way and is extremly limited.

till who is doing ispconfig 3 support these days? maybe I could get someone to come check the deb12 server make sure rspamd is working properly!
hope all is going well with you and yours!

I see rspamd wants a caching nameserver. I have a nameserver managed by ispconfig3 on the deb12 machine. do i need to change the bind configs?

also any tutorial on converting from spamassassin to rspamd on a centos?
