Debian Lenny Server + VNC or similar?

As most know, I'm running a Debian Lenny x64 server with ISPC3 on it.

I thought it might be useful to figure out how to setup the system to be able to remotely desktop/console to it as if it were a normal desktop/laptop that I use Remote Desktop (Windows) to access.

Any suggestions on a HOWTO for establishing such a procedure?

    Thanks!

Do you have a desktop (Gnome or KDE) installed on the server?

    No... blank slate.

If you want to use VNC, you need a desktop installed on the server. Otherwise you must use SSH to access the server.

Yeah, but I guess what I'm postulating here is what is the best/easiest environment to setup to allow for remote desktop access on a Debian Lenny server?

I'd say that all this server has on it is ISPC3 and its progeny of components from the Debian Lenny Perfect Setup...

If there's no desktop on the server, you must use SSH to manage it.
