Debian or Ubuntu for server

I decided to switch from Fedora to Debian based distro. I'm wondering which distro should I use for my ISPconfig based server? Debian or Ubuntu?

I'm pretty satisfied with Ubuntu 6.06 on my notebook but I read somewhere that Ubuntu is based on unstable Debian packages, is therefore Ubuntu proper choice for server, but on the other hand Debian isn't updated so often or is it?

    Any thoughts are welcome.

I'd rather recommend Debian Sarge 3.1 as it uses only "stable stable" packages... Ubuntu uses newer ones.

However if you are willing to wait until the end of the year, then the next debian stable version will be released (I think)...

I would prefer Debian stable (Sarge) for a server and Ubuntu for a desktop.
