Decompressing,Opening and Installing a tar.bz2 file

    Hi everyone! Just hope that i am in the right sector so here goes. Have been fighting a losing battle trying to decompress, open and install a tar.bz2 file. Have to say that i am a real n00b. Thanks for any help. Trev

    Forgot to mention that i an running Mandriva Spring and the KDE desktop

    Let's assume the file is called archive.tar.bz2. This is how you uncompress it:

    tar xvjf archive.tar.bz2
