I am new to running a Linux server but I have been successful at installing and configuring the server and ispconfig. I have been trying to find this in the forum and could not. Is it possible to change a shared ip to a dedicated ip. If so, what documentation or where can I find the answer in the forum? Thank you.

    ISPConfig uses always namebased vhosts.

    I'll expand on Till's answer. :)

There are only 2 good reasons that you could want a dedicated IP...

    1) To view the web site by IP address.
    2) To attach a SSL Certificate to the site.

In case 1, no that's not possible because of what Till said. Besides, so far as I know it's totally against current IP address justification rules.

In case 2, you just need to attach a certificate to the IP and manually make sure you never put another web site on that IP.

Ok, I will try to figure out the second option. Thank you.
