I wrote a story for HowtoForge. The default license was "All Rights Reserved (Site default)". Wouldn't it be better if the default was something more libre? Such as GNU FDL or public domain? /Eldmannen, In the spirit of Linux and open source!
There are 5 or 6 licenses to choose from, but we need a default license, so we had to pick one. Of course we could have discussed which one should be the default license, but discussions are time-consuming, and we wanted to get the site up and running. So we used Drupal's default license.
Well, I suggest change the default license to a more libre license to encourage the spreading and distribution of information and knowledge. I propose it to be changed to "Public Domain". Or at least "GNU FDL".
