Hi i had a xyx.com domain with some user emails. I delete this domain(also in the recyclebin:all the recyclebin:site, dns manager) and create a new one . All work fine, i can receive-send mail, ftp access, access to the web. But, i was looking the mailog and i saw a lot of activity of the user mail that i delete, al sending an email to [email protected]ldomain, what this can be? is this a problem? solution?
What are the exact entries? Could it be a external server is still trying to deliver a mail to a no longer existing user? If that's the case, it will eventually stop (normally after 4-5 days)
i dont think so, because i dont have a public dns for mail, im working with the dns server of my server (test state) . I access to the webpages and services, manually( I put the ip of my server, as a primary dns in the computer client)
The emails to [email protected]ldomain are status/usage emails. They contain info about how much traffic a user generates. After processing (updating some info in the ISPConfig database) the status emails to admispconfig are /dev/nulled. If you deleted the user before all status info had been written/processed, I assume You're in some sort of loop. I'd try to re-create the same user and watch the log files if sending messages stops (eventually). Then delete the user again.
i will try, but i dont why also i have emails from the new domain users but with old domain, for example my old domain was @xyz.com, and the new one is @yyy.com, i have working a [email protected], but also in the log i see some emails from [email protected] to [email protected]l. Why this? if i create the new user domain before erase the old domain(including the emails users)
i recreate the domain and user, but i still have mails form thes user to administ [email protected]ldomain.
That's the intended behaviour. These mails contain the size of received emails in bytes so that ISPConfig can create mail statistics.
Haha sorry im a newone, a was worried, because i delete those user, but when i saw the mailog, these user still have activity, sending emails to [email protected]ldomain.
# grep admispconfig /etc/passwd admispconfig:x:501:501:Administrator ISPConfig:/home/admispconfig:/bin/bash
