Hello, I have a couple clients that want to make a dev version of their current functioning sites, in order to eventually switch over to as their new site. What is the best way to approach this using ispconfig? Thanks.
When the same domain is not hosted on the server yet, then simply add it as a website and use the hosts file on the client desktop to make it accessible. If the same domain exists already on that server or you don't want to use the hosts file method, then create a website for a subdomain like dev.customerdomain.tld and use that for development and later you simply change the domain name.
