Hi guys! I have this really big project of creating a new control panel for a clustered hosting system. i know there are lots of CP's out there and many are open source and elegant and free! but i am required to build our own. the problem is i really don't know where even to start. i've been programming in perl and php for a long time but this is the first time i would be creating a panel system. i know that this is the right place for me to ask question, so i am asking "how to create a Control Panel??" or showing me the right path to take, it would be enough. thank you very much!
right place to start would be looking over existing control panels, and making a list of the features you want in your own control panel. next might be to look at some source code to get an idea of how things are implemented, so you don't re-invent the wheel. give credit where credit is due though. clustering can mean many things, exactly what type of clustering do you want to work with?
