Hi all, Please excuse me if this has been discussed, I'm not sure of the terms to use and I can't seem to locate something similar. I'm using ISPConfig on a test server so that designers and coders can easily setup new sites on a (very modestly spec'ed) Debian test machine running Apache2, PHP5, PHP4 and MySQL5. I really love the few-clicks creation of virtual-server style sites (our our DNS points *.servername.domain to a single IP, i.e. client1.servername client2.servername etcetc) that ISPConfig allows - but much of the other stuff (like setting up email, clients, the 'you need to put an index.html page here' isn't stuff we need. Is there a diet-version of ISPConfig - I'm not a coder myself so would be rather lost hacking and slashing parts from the package - or an alternative? Is this easier than I think? Cheers, splame
There is no "diet" version of ISPConfig. But setting up email users etc. does not harm in your scenario. If you stop the pop3 and imap daemon, they dont use any memory and setting up a email acount is just a few kbytes of space on your harddisk.
