Almost good, but an MX record must point to an A record, not to a CNAME. Currently mail.stocktongoodsamaritan.org is a CNAME; make it an A record instead that points to 76.255.160.38.
Dose this look right? Please add stocktongoodsamaritan.org to the mydestination line in /etc/postfix/main.cf and restart Postfix.
change this line here? HTML: mydestination = /etc/postfix/local-host-names Change to? HTML: mydestination = /etc/postfix/stocktongoodsamaritan.org Is this corect. I went and read on it at postfix. I just want to make sure it is corect. mydestination = /etc/postfix/local-host-names stocktongoodsamartian.org
If you have Code: mydestination = /etc/postfix/local-host-names then simply add stocktongoodsamaritan.org at the end of /etc/postfix/local-host-names and restart Postfix.
restarting postfix I had changed id, however I forgot to restart postfix. I have done that. I will let you know if it dose not fix it. Thank you for all the help.
will not login I still can not login the mail for theis domain . I restarted postfix, then tried to login and get the same error message. The username ([email protected]) is wrong. It must be something like web1_someuser, but not an email address.
In the mail area, it sais web3_u1. the email is admin at stocktongoodsamaritan dot org. This is just the same way as my other site and it is working just fine. What would cause this to not show the web1_u1and were do I look to fix it? One thin that was strange. When I went to setup the 2nd site, it went in as web3 insted of web2. I have the firest site web1, then the 2nd site is web3. Dose that help in maybe understand what is wrong?
I went into the var/mail and there is only the emails I setup for the first site. web1_u1,web1_u2, web1_u3. Nothing in regards to web3_u1 ro web3_u2. Witch I have two emails on the 2nd site. In /var/www/web3/user there is web3_u1, web3_u2
I am using maildir.I made sure to check the box in the management/settings/email after I finished setting up the server.
If you're using Maildir, then the mails are not deleivered to /var/mail, but to each user's homedir, e.g. /var/www/web1/user/web1_someuser/Maildir.
