I just installed a new server with ISPConfig, FC5 using the perfect setup. It works extremely well but was wondering about the DNS and MX settings.

The user has their ISP hosting the DNS for them. I had the server behind a firewall on 192.168.0.254 and all worked well.

Since they are having the ISP host their DNS do I need to Create DNS and DNS-MX or what?

    I'm a little confused.

No, you dont have to use the DNS in ISPConfig then.

I checked the boxes at installation, can I uncheck them without any problems arising?

    Thanks

Yes. And remove the created records in the DNS-Manager.
