Hi, I have just been modifying lots records on my dns server and then all of sudden it stopped working I though that maybe i had just changed a setting wrong but then i ran it though a name server test on the web and it failed Code: Error: No NS answer from nameserver 'ns2.****.co.uk' at address '****' Error: No SOA answer from nameserver 'ns2.*****.co.uk' at address '******' Error: No NS answer from nameserver 'ns1.*****.co.uk' at address '*******' Error: No SOA answer from nameserver 'ns1.****.co.uk' at address '*******' Error: No authoritative working nameservers found Error: At least 2 nameservers required Error: Nameserver 'ns2.****' at address '****' returned no SOA record Error: Nameserver 'ns1.*******' at address '*****' returned no SOA record So its not look good. I tryed restarting bind (dns server) and tryed rebooting my server all together though it looks like its broken Any ideas of how to find out whats wrong or more importantly fix it? Thanks, Alex
Sorry for wasting your time, i figured it out. My router was only forwarding TCP ports and not UDP ports so i just changed it to both
