I am trying to get my new VPS all setup and I decided on using ISPConfig, I started with a vanilla install of Ubuntu Natty and followed these instructions http://library.linode.com/web-applications/control-panels/ispconfig/ubuntu-10.10-maverick I also looked on the instructions on this website and found them to be roughly the same - at least in regards to DNS. I installed bind9 and dnsutils with no problems, but in my monitor it says "DNS Offline" my command prompt is clearly saying its running I even tried restarting it. I heard that Bind9 doesn't work with ISPConfig but apparently now it does (even the tutorials here use Bind9 as an option). Any help I can get would be wonderful.
