    thanks in advance
i need to know, my IP is pointing to another name, and im having a dyndns subdomain, but the reverse lookup is pointing to my isps domain, how can i set a ptr record for that so that the ip is pointing to my dyndns domain?, i dont know even if im right or wrong, also im having a dynamic ip so it would be nice to know if this is possible.

    thanks again in advance

I don't know if DynDNS.org lets you create PTR records, however, there can only be one PTR record for an IP address, and if your ISP has already created one, then you can do nothing about it.

thank you very very much, this is clear now, so how do i prevent in future then to be listed as dynamic on sorbs? since they seem to require a valid PTR record as much as i understood this.

    thank you in advance

Many blacklists store dynamic IPs, there's nothing you can do about it...

The only people that can create a rPTR record are the people who own the IP. In the future you will need to contact the ISP/Host who owns the IP to barter for them to modify the rPTR record for you.
